Magic Envelope is a trade name of Werkbot. What is written at the gates is kept by the house below.

What is written

Only what a visitor writes at the door and at the three gates.

At the door, to wait for the house to open: your name and your email. We write once when there is something to tell.

At the study, to begin a letter: your name, your email, the occasion, for whom, and a few words.

At the scriptorium, to offer the quill: your name, your email, your craft, and a letter of introduction.

At the inkwell, to seal a letter: your name, your email, the addressee, and the letter itself.

If you sign the book, we keep the email, a hash of the password, and a session so the book stays open.

Why

To carry out the request and to write back. The ground is the performance of that request, and a legitimate interest in answering it.

How long

We keep what is written for as long as we need it to fulfil the request and to answer. Nothing is erased by a clock. Write to us, and we will erase what we hold.

Who else

Hosting and the database sit in the European Union. We name no other houses. When the letters of the page are drawn, the typeface host may see an internet address. The house sets no trackers.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, or erase what we keep, and you may object. A complaint may be lodged with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

No cookies for analytics or advertising. The house sets no trackers. A session is set only if you sign the book. A small cookie remembers the language you asked for, and nothing else.
